Rome in Reverse Collaborates with Indonesian Electronic Duo, Bottlesmoker on Remix Single "Here it’s all over"

A first in SEA collaborations and lead up to a series of tour dates in the region

Rome in Reverse (RIR), the solo project by Italian-born artist Antonella Pacifico has released her first Southeast Asian collaboration with Indonesian electronic duo Bottlesmoker on ‘Here it’s all over [Bottlesmoker Remix]’.

With her roots in southern Italy and Tuscany, and formative years spent in Rome, Pacifico is a self-taught musician and producer, having played in a post-rock outfit before relocating to Denmark to focus on solo music production. The environment that Pacifico has carved out with the RIR project, is a melted collection of club dance music, blissed-out trance-techno, ambient dub, and dreamy trip-hop sounds driven by up/downtempo electronic beats and occasionally accompanied by her emotive vocals.

The single, ‘Here it’s all over’ was originally envisioned by RIR as a track that blends the ever-present melancholy with a twist of chilled-out atmosphere, and infused with elegance and emotive vocals. Seeking a collaborator who could truly connect with the track's emotions, RIR discovered Bottlesmoker during her first Southeast Asian tour in 2022, and was immediately captivated by their exceptional talent and distinct flavour.

‘Here it’s all over [Bottlesmoker Remix]’ showcases Bottlesmoker's ability to recreate native rhythms from Indonesia and Southeast Asia in electronic form. The duo, made up of Anggung Suherman (Angkuy) and Ryan Adzani (Nobie), are no strangers to Asia, having played in major festivals such as Laneway Festival, Big Mountain Music Festival, Zandari Festa, and opening for several international bands including Ladytron, Architecture in Helsinki, Porter Robinson, Tycho, M83 and Battles. Seamlessly blending their iconic analog and digital sounds, the duo has created a captivating fusion of tribal beats, psychedelic vibes, and catchy pop elements for ‘Here it's All Over’. With their extensive musical influences and innovative production techniques, Bottlesmoker brings a fresh and exciting perspective to Rome in Reverse's original track.

RIR will embark on a Southeast Asian tour, bringing her captivating live performances to audiences across the region. The tour includes dates in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok, and an appearance at the Monsoon Festival in Hanoi, Vietnam.
