Multi-Talented Star, Rainie Yang, Announces Singapore Concert This August
Multi-talented star, Rainie Yang, returns for a one-night show, as part of her “LIKE A STAR” world tour concert. It has been 5 years since her last show here.
The performance titled “LIKE A STAR”, after her 2020 single, which was written and produced by Rainie's husband, mainland singer-songwriter Li Ronghao, is meant to commemorate the 20th anniversary of her debut.
The tour kicked off at the Taipei Arena in 2020, but unfortunately postponed after staging the 3-nights show, due to the global COVID-19 outbreak. In June last year, the tour restarted at the same venue, and has travelled to more than 20 cities including Guangzhou, Jinan, Suzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Beijing, Shanghai and Macao, before hitting our shores this August.
Set to take the stage at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Saturday, 24 August 2024, Yang is ready to dazzle and perform for local fans for the third time. The singer, known for hits such as ‘Ambiguous’ (Ai Mei), ‘Take Me Away’ (Dai Wo Zou), ‘Anonymous Friend’ (Ni Ming De Hao You) and ‘Traces Of Time In Love’ (Nian Lun Shuo), will serenade fans with her repertoire of hits at the concert.
Rainie Yang, first debuted in 4-member girl group 4 in Love in the year 2000 and released two studio albums “Fall In Love” and “Who's Afraid of Whom?” (Shui Pa Shui). The single ‘A Thousand and One Wishes’ (Yi Qian Ling Yi Ge Yuan Wang), featured in the sophomore album, was a commercial success and became their biggest hit. Following the disbandment of the group, Rainie continued to pursue her career in music and has released more than ten studio albums plus compilation albums, achieving notable success in the Mandopop music scene. In addition, she also ventured into the field of hosting through TV variety program “Guess Guess Guess” (Wo Cai Wo Cai Wo Cai Cai Cai), as well as starring in many popular idol dramas, including “Hi My Sweetheart” (Hai Pai Tian Xin), which she performed the theme song ‘Rainie Love’ (Yu Ai). Throughout the years, she has evolved into an all-round artist and made significant contributions to the Chinese entertainment industry.
