Culture Wars Joins LANY on Asia Leg of ‘A Beautiful Blur: The World Tour’
Texas Austin’s alt-rock band, Culture Wars is set to support pop-rock band, LANY, on the Asia leg of their ‘A Beautiful Blur: The World Tour’. The tour kicks off on 20 September 2024 in Singapore, followed by performances in Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia and wrapping up in the Philippines.
In anticipation of their Asia tour, Culture Wars has just released their latest single, ‘Miley’. The single pays homage to the romantic pop nostalgia of the ‘80s, while embracing a post-modern sensibility that connects it to the present. Much like their band name, Culture Wars reflects the bled of seemingly opposing forces within their music, creating harmony from conflict. The band’s chemistry – Alex Dugan, David Grayson, Dilon Randolph, Caleb Contreras and Joshua Stirm – fuels their unique sound.
‘Miley’ will be featured on Culture Wars’ upcoming debut album ‘if not now when?’, joining previously released singles like ‘Heaven’ and ‘Wasting My Time’, which showcase the group’s driving energy and lyrical depth, fused with glossy pop-rock hooks led by Alex Dugan’s powerful vocals. The band has rapidly built a strong fanbase, with their music gaining traction on streaming platforms. Notably, their track ‘Leave Me Alone’ was featured on the GRAMMY-nominated Bill & Ted Face the Music soundtrack and became their first Top 30 Alternative Rock hit.
Culture Wars continues to captivate audiences with their innovative fusion of nostalgic and modern influences, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Police, Harry Styles, Third Eye Blind, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oasis, The Strokes, and The Killers.
