Singaporean Alternative Rock band, Chasing Daylight has announced the release of their sophomore EP, ‘The Relentless Pursuit of a Human Kind’. Slated for release on all major digital streaming platforms on 4 November 2022, Friday, the EP was written and produced in the storm of a global pandemic and personal transitions, with the result of an immersive audio journey to face the reality of humanity in all its mystery, chaos, solitude,  fragility and belonging.

The EP and its title point to the relentlessness of the universal human spirit to voyage beyond the unknowns in our lives. A collection of five songs painstakingly written and intricately produced at GRYD studios, the band presents their most mature work yet with a coalescence of indie rock with the gospel, folk and alternative genres. From the modern Imagine Dragons-esque stomps and riffs of previously released single, ‘Deserter’, and ‘Tragedy’, to all-new haunting textures of ‘Betrayed’ dueted with singer-songwriter Adia Tay, to the choir-backed and anthemic focus track ‘Hallelujahs in the Rain’ that is reminiscent of U2, the EP signifies the voyage of Chasing Daylight entering the unknown of creativity, music making and storytelling.
